A destination wedding..
Can’t really plan much until the destination is booked.
Wedding Planning Update!
So I keep changing my mind about the location of our destination wedding.
The first choice was Cuba due to the ease of marrying there as compared to other countries, but I didn’t like the idea that I had never seen or been the resort and wouldn’t be able to before the wedding. (The control freak in me was raging.)
Then the idea came to me to get married in Mexico at the resort Sean and I went to to celebrate our graduation in 2010. The resort is beautiful and has so many food options. It has the perfect location for the wedding and party.
However, getting married in Mexico is actually pretty complicated if you’re not Mexican. So now we have to decide if we’ll get married in Canada before leaving for Mexico as most people I know have done, or deal with the complication and get married in there.
Decisions, decisions!
I’ll do this with my grandparents who won’t be able to be there.

Postponing the wedding.
So we decided to wait until 2013 to get married.
Phewf. In a way I’m a little disappointed and it will be hard to wait but this way we can save up and pay for the wedding ourselves instead of relying on family to do it which leaves the control in my hands, which I like.
We’ll also be able to give guests a year’s notice so that they can save and fit it into their vacation plans.
I just hope all the people I want there will come. <3
